THE MIGRATORY BIRDS family concert with BonNoir Trio
BonNoir Trio takes the audience on the long flight to West Africa on strong wings. Here they meet the hunter, who must turn his weapon into a musical instrument and henceforth must turn all pain into joy. Since 2016, BonNoir Trio has played for children and adults at home and abroad. They draw inspiration from traditional music from West Africa, Blues and Jazz. The music is open, groovy and lyrical music, with plenty of room for improvisation and the magic of the moment. In 2022, the trio released the album MALA. The group was nominated by Jazzdanmark for the Children’s Jazz Award 2022.
Katrine Suwalskier jazz saxophonist, leader of the orchestra. Another World, Katrine Suwalski Group, co leader Rhythm & Wind and BonNoir Trio. She has released eight CDs in her own name, including the children’s CD The Drum Troll’s Songs. Her music is now also being recognized in Africa, where she has toured several times.
Simon Winse comes from Burkina Faso but lives in Paris, where he leads his own group Dangada. Co leader BonNoir Trio. He plays the traditional stringed instrument N’goni (in the kora family) and the bamboo flute, the flute Peule. He has released a CD Dangadai 2018. Musical theatre with actor Etienne Minoungou.
Ayi Solomoner grew up in Ghana, but has lived in Denmark for the past 30 years, where he has established himself as one of the busiest jazz and world musicians in Denmark. He is known from collaborations with Palle Mikkelborg, New Jungle Orchestra, Another World and many more.
